We are extremely pleased to announce that ClicknClear Founder and CEO Chantal Epp won the Women of the Future Entrepreneur Award for creating and founding innovative music licensing and tech startup ClicknClear.
Every year the Women of the Future Awards celebrates inspirational women doing incredible work in their field of work, and shines a light on the next generation of leaders.
The awards were started in 2006 by Pinky Lilani CBE, and now count HRH The Countess of Wessex as Global Ambassador, Cherie Blair as patron and Baroness Gabrielle Bertin as Chair of the judging panel who were ‘wowed by Chantal’s smart and brilliant business idea and her clear strategy for growth,’
ClicknClear delivers the power of officially licensed music to performance sports worldwide (such as cheerleading, gymnastics, figure skating and more), forging a new path for the music industry worth $1bn+ of annual untapped revenue.
In just over two years ClicknClear has signed over 300 deals with labels and publishers, delivering pre-cleared adaptation rights to over 15M tracks as part of the unique bundle of rights needed by these performance sports. In what has been a highly successful 2019 for ClicknClear, the company has won two additional awards - the NY:LON Connect ‘Best Startup’ award and the Midemlab ‘Startup Business of the Year - Music and Distribution’ award.
By starting ClicknClear, Chantal has created a global solution to the use of unlicensed music in performance sports and is enabling the music industry to tackle copyright infringement in this market effectively and affordable, thus ensuring artists and writers are fairly paid for their work and sports have access to affordable music.
Accepting her award, Chantal spoke of the challenging journey in getting to where she is today, what it’s like being a young female entrepreneur, and how proud she is to be part of an event that celebrates successful young women in Britain and encouraging others to take a leap.
